The Frogs in Action
The Frogs have come together after a lifetime of loving and playing music to audiences across the UK. With James Byatt on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ray Breakey on Drums, John Zinn on Sax, John Mayer on Bass and Chris Baldock on keyboards and lead guitar. The band have a collective pedigree that really shows in the musicianship and entertainment they deliver.
James Byatt Lead Vocals and Guitar
James, the front man of the Frogs had a strong love of Rock and Roll music from an early age. His strong vocals, driving rhythm guitar and stage presence ensure the audience get a great experience as he leads the band and audience through the classic songs at the heart of the Frogs repertoire.
Ray Breakey on Drums
The heart of a first-class Rock and Roll band is the relentless beat that drives these great tunes. Ray is a 50’s connoisseur and his love for the music shines through when he takes his seat and picks up the sticks. With clock-work timing, ear-catching intros, and fills and pin-sharp endings, the rest of The Frogs jump on board the train and cling on for dear life!
Jon Zinn Sax
Before the age of the electric guitar, when it comes to Rock & Roll solos, the Saxophone was king. The Frogs recreate this golden age of pop music under the expert tutelage of John Zinn. Whether it’s a silky-smooth mournful tone or an ear-bleeding banshee of a sax solo, JZ is at the core of The Frogs sound.
John Mayer Bass Guitar
A giant of a man, John holds the bass lines down & partners Ray in creating The Frogs back line. Either on his four string or five string guitars, John is the glue that holds The Frogs together.
Chris Baldock Keyboards and Guitar
Irrespective of Chris being on keyboards or guitar you are sure to hear a great sound. With the searing voices of the Hammond organ, the boogie-woogie of the electric piano or the cutting tone of his Fender Guitars, Chris plays with the energy & skill that the bands songs deserve.
